Former USA women's soccer star Megan Rapinoe has praised Caitlin Clark after the Fever rookie's run-in with Skylar Diggins-Smith last weekend.
Towards the end of Indiana's 92-75 home win over the Storm, Clark was bumped by Diggins-Smith as the former hyped up the crowd in close proximity to the visitors' bench.
And Rapinoe took delight in the brief skirmish as she discussed the moment with her partner (and former WNBA star) Sue Bird.
'Caitlin's always in the mix,' Rapinoe said on their A Touch More podcast. 'I like it!
Bird added, 'Things got a little spicy. None of this is surprising to me. If I'm Caitlin I'm like, 'Yeah, whatever. You're bad, I'm on my way to my bench.'

'And if I'm the Storm, I'm like, 'Get the f*** out of here.''
Clark has certainly been the target of her opponents at times this season, as the Sky's Chennedy Carter went out of her way to bodycheck her earlier in the year.
Bird went on to call last weekend's incident 'benign,' though Diggins-Smith was slammed by fans online for the needless bump of Clark.
One wrote: 'Jealousy causes hatred and its sad to witness.'
Another commented: 'She even dipped her shoulder.. Clark has everyone on tilt in this league.'
A third added: 'Diggs might need some time in the weight room. Clark walked right through that lol.'
Clark scored 23 points and nine assists in the game to help the Fever beat the Storm.
Clark has been red-hot of late, scoring 20+ points in five of her last six contests for the Fever
After being controversially left off of the USA women's basketball Olympic roster, Clark looks poised for a big second half of the season.
She's already broken the league's rookie assist record, and has put together a red-hot stretch stretching before the league's month-long Olympics break.
She's scored 20 points in five of her last six games and is averaging 23.7 points on 47 per cent shooting from the field, and 11.7 assists over that span.
She'll look to keep it going vs. the Lynx on Saturday.
