Today hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager couldn't stop giggling on Friday morning as they shared their bizarre childhood nicknames with one another during the latest episode of Today with Hoda & Jenna.

The duo were discussing the concept of 'friend dictionaries' and the idea of sharing 'inside lingo' with those closest to you, when Jenna, 42, said to Hoda: 'You have a lot of these,' to which she replied: 'We do these at our house.' 

Referring to her brother, Adel, and her sister, Hala, she revealed: 'When we were kids, we called - my brother and sister and I - all called each other Irwin,' as a confused Jenna asked: 'Do you remember how that [started]?' 

The mother-of-two, who recently celebrated her 60th birthday, elaborated: 'Yeah, it was a cartoon of a real kind of geeky, weird kid, and that was Irwin. So now literally to this day, "Hey Irwin, hey Irwin,"' as Jenna confirmed she'd heard Hoda calling her siblings 'Irwin' when speaking to them on the phone.

'Who originated it? Do you remember?' Jenna then asked, as Hoda responded: 'I don't remember, but on Christmas packages you always know by the handwriting, "To Irwin, from Irwin," they all say the same but we know whose is whose because we know our handwriting.'

Jenna revealed that she and her twin sister have called each other 'Herme' since they were kids

Jenna then revealed the unusual pet name she still shares with her twin sister, Barbara Bush, who recently welcomed her second child.

'Well, we're Herme - both of us,' Jenna divulged as Hoda started giggling.

Referring to the Spanish word for 'sister,' Jenna confirmed: 'It started as hermana, hermanita, then we went to herme,' as her cohost continued laughing.

The TV star, whose father is former US President George W. Bush, then went on to say of her and her sister: 'We also had a dream that when our husbands died peacefully later in life, we would have a Sister-Sister Ya-Ya house. 

'We would grow our hair real long and gray and have 27 cats and we would just read!' she added as Hoda burst out laughing again. 

This certainly isn't the first time that Jenna has spoken about unusual nicknames on Today, as back in June she revealed that her husband Henry Hager used to have a weird pet name for her.

She and Hoda were discussing Benny Blanco's nickname for his girlfriend Selena Gomez, which is 'my wittle,' which led Jenna to ask Hoda: 'Do you like a nickname?' as she replied: 'Kind of, like usually... when I'm with... "honey, sweetie, blah blah"... when I was a kid they all called me Hodie, that was my nickname. Do you like a nickname?' 

Jenna responded: 'Yeah, I love a nickname!' as Hoda probed further and asked: 'What does Henry call you?' to which she revealed: 'Well, he called me shiny...' leaving her cohost visibly baffled.

'Yeah, shiny cat... when we first got together,' Jenna confirmed before adding: 'And now he's just like, "honey, baby...," and the kids are like, "Ew!" before revealing that she refers to her husband of 16 years as 'Hank.'

'He likes it, his mother did not like it. You know when you're naming a child and you're like, "don't call him anything!" His mother was hoping for non-Hank, but then everybody calls him Hank,' Jenna divulged.

She then revealed that her oldest child, Mila, sometimes calls her 'Kylie Jenner' and requested that she refer to her as 'Stormi' who is Jenner's six-year-old daughter.

'But then last night, Hal was jealous so he asked that I call Mila "Rainy" and call him "Stormi,"' Jenna laughed, before confirming there's another nickname her kids have for her but she refused to say it on air.
