A Mercedes driver was caught on camera pulling a gun on an unsuspecting motorist during a road rage incident in an 'exclusive' neighborhood.

Paul Slane, 63, is also accused of assaulting the victim's passenger and grabbing her cell phone during the road rage attack in the 'exclusive' Heatherwood neighborhood of Port St. Lucie, Florida on Tuesday at 4.30pm, according to Miami Herald.

An ensuing investigation found that Slane apparently followed the victims into the gated community and provoked the other driver before he pulled his gun on the driver and his passenger.

But the victim also had a gun and asked, 'Should I shoot him?' video obtained by WFLA shows.

'The suspect in the black Mercedes for whatever reason consistently was break checking them,' Sgt. Dominick Mesiti told the news station.

'He was intentionally hitting his breaks... for no reason other than to agitate the vehicle behind him or the driver behind him.'

Slane then allegedly drove his Mercedes around the victims' truck and then stopped in front of them in the roadway.

At that point, Slane was caught on the victim's phone exiting his car, and approaching the driver with his gun raised.

The suspect then started arguing with the other driver about who started the fight, and reached through his window as he demanded his passenger give him her phone.

'Get out the f***ing car now,' Slane could be heard yelling in the video.

'You're getting arrested, you know this right,' one of the victims could be heard telling Slane, who proceeds to get back in his vehicle.

As he walks away, the driver could be heard saying, 'We're confirming his vehicle's all smashed up, too.'

Slane was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, robbery with a firearm and two counts of simple battery

Investigators say Slane then fled the scene and was stopped 'a short time later' by deputies with the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office.

The handgun believed to have been used in the attack was also recovered.

Slane was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, robbery with a firearm and two counts of simple battery.

He is now out of jail on a $105,000 bond, according to WFLA.
