The daughter of beloved Hollywood stuntman Antonio 'Tony' McFarr, who died unexpectedly on May 13 at his Orlando area home, is asking police not to release photos of his remains.

The body of the stunt worker, best known for his work with Chris Pratt in Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy, was discovered days after his death, and an autopsy report later revealed alcohol poisoning and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease played a part in his passing.

Now, his 21-year-old daughter, Jade McKee, has filed a complaint against the Orange County Sheriff's Office and the District Nine Medical Examiner's Office, requesting officers to refrain from sharing photos that show the state in which her father was found.

'In the process of [their] investigations, it is believed that defendants created records which may include photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, statutorily protected autopsy information, and all other statutorily protected information,' the complaint filed in June by Jade and her grandparents - McFarr's mother and father - reads.

The records, attorneys for the family wrote in the filing viewed by DailyMail.com, 'graphically depict [McFarr], his likeness or features, or parts of him,' and are in possession of police and medical examiner's office.

'Upon information and belief, certain news and media outlets have filed or plan to file public records requests pursuant to the Florida Public Records Act... requesting Defendants release the records to the public,' the complaint further states.

The family went on to ask for a court order that would restrain the agencies from releasing those pictures and photos to the public.

The complaint, filed in Orange County Circuit Court, asks for 'a temporary and permanent injunction precluding [the] defendants from releasing the records to anyone except... [McFarr's] surviving parents and daughter.'

As of publication, the outcome of the filing remains unclear, though the few photos of the stunt man in his final years appear to show his once-robust physique softening.

The last photos of him online appear to have been taken in 2021, along with a professional shot posted to his own Instagram in August 2023.

In both, he looks to be a far cry for the man who once could be easily mistaken for Pratt, a sign - perhaps - of the alcohol abuse the medical examiner referred to in his findings.

The Orange County Medical Examiner ruled McFarr's death was the result of an irregular heartbeat and a problem with his heart valves - as well as his history of alcohol abuse.

The official further noted that when he was found at the suburban home  unresponsive, his body was already decomposing.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, the medical examiner confirmed, as obituaries and recollections from friends and relatives provided some insight as to the final days of the man behind the stunts of the so-called Starlord.

Born at the Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, Florida, he lived in Florida for most of his life, and for more than a decade, he would travel to Hollywood to do stunts on films like Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Furious 7 and Captain America: Civil War.

He also appeared on a variety of TV shows, like Ballers and Bones, and had been a mainstay at the Indiana Jones Stunt Show at Hollywood Studios before his career took off.

His career entertainment abruptly came to a close when he suddenly retired in 2022, after opening the first of a series of Poke-themed restaurants, in Georgia, in 2018.

He was also a veteran, serving in the US Air Force in the early 2000s, while his work at Walt Disney Corp. in Orlando enabled him to secure a gig on a single episode of David Boreanaz-led Bones, before snagging a spot on the Transformers sequel that year.

The next decade saw him perform strenuous stunts for 58 more productions, his IMDB shows - four of them as Pratt's double.

In the stuntman's obituary, relatives wrote how he went to the neighboring state 'to pursue stunt work and stunt acting on the bigger stage of Hollywood, where he was immensely successful.'

More movies for McFarr followed, along with three Oscar nods.

Along for the ride was his wife Thais, records show - who had lived in Orlando previously for at least 10 years.

During that span, he also moved to Atlanta - a decision made the same year as his first foray as Pratt's second, on Jurassic World, in 2015.

By 2016, she was living in the same home in Fayette County McFarr had moved to, where records indicated she stayed for four years.

Within that timeframe, the two opened The Fit Kitchen in Atlanta - a joint venture that has since closed.

A year after it opened, the pair posed in a photo for the businesses first anniversary, with the two writing, 'Thank you everyone for your support. It’s been one year and going strong!'

Seen holding a tray of Fit Kitchen-themed cookies, McFarr already appeared noticeably less svelte and more bloated than years before.

A photo taken less than a month later at a fair where Fit Kitchen had an exhibit showed some more differences, perhaps even more pronounced, as the couple once again posed side-by-side while passing out menus.

This appears to be the final photo of the two together. That same month, records indicate that McFarr purchased what would prove to be his last house, back in Orlando, with Thais seemingly making separate plans.

Around that time, she moved to Orlando adjacent city Winter Garden, where records indicate she still lives today.

Moreover, her name was stripped from the Georgia home in 2020, while it remained registered to McFarr until March of this year.

That was just a mere two months before his death, and just a month after McFarr reopened his second Florida restaurant - Reel Bowls in Orlando - after first opening the restaurant at a different location three years later.

Posts on social media seem to indicate the first incarnation of the Florida health-food focused restaurant closed the same year it opened, in 2021.

Several pics of McFarr at this time that appear on the restaurant's social media show him with a flush-faced.

The venue reopened again in February 2024 - an occasion McFarr would celebrate in his final post to Instagram.

'Reel Bowls is finally open for business!' he wrote in a caption, sharing a photo of the front door bearing the eatery's insignia that served as an apparent nod to his line of work - a bowl made of a film reel.

Calls to the establishment this week went straight to a voicemail box without ringing, and the latest reviews on sites like Yelp stop after March.

In August 2023, he posted what would be the last photo of himself - an up-close headshot in which he looked visibly red, despite the presence of professional lighting.

In tributes posted after his death, family members said he retired. He went on to 're-invent himself as a successful restaurant entrepreneur, opening several Poke-themed eateries,' relatives wrote at the time. His IMDB indicated he was doing stunt work as recently as 2022

It remains unclear when it was taken, but it was the last glimpse of the man behind the on-screen stunts of A-listers like Pratt before officers photographed his corpse.

His IMDB, however, indicated he was still doing stunt work as recently as 2022, though only one project that year, after slowing down considerably right around the time he seemingly parted ways with his wife.

In the same memorial, family members wrote how McFarr was an avid golfer and enjoyed scuba diving and skydiving, as well as traveling 'at every opportunity.

'At home, he enjoyed a quiet life along with his two boxers, Rocky and Bella,' it continued.

'He is survived by his loving parents; a daughter, Jade; and sister, Dawn, both of Orlando.'

DailyMail.com has reached out to all of these relatives - as well as his possibly estranged wife - for comment.
