Olivia Dunne officially kickstarted her fifth - and final - year with LSU gymnastics on Monday.

The 21-year-old is returning to the Tigers for one last season after confirming earlier this summer that she wasn't quite ready to leave the mat just yet.

And the national championship winning gymnast commemorated her 'last first day of school' with a heartwarming post on Instagram.

Already back in the LSU gym with the Tigers' 2024 national championship banner hanging in the background, Dunne posed with her dog, a golden retriever named Roux who she shares with her MLB pitcher boyfriend Paul Skenes

In Tigers kit, Dunne knelt on one knee and held up a 'First Day of School' sign, which listed her name, age and grade (17).

It also claimed that she wanted to be a two-time national champion when she 'grows up' in a nod to the Tigers' aspirations to be crowned back-to-back NCAA winners this year.

Her LSU Tigers won the 2024 national championship back in April, though she didn't participate in the final meet.

Three months later, she told fans she wanted to pull on the purple and gold leotard for one final season.

It wasn't a shocking decision, considering the successful, whirlwind college career the New jersey native has enjoyed.

Since making her debut as a college athlete in 2020, Dunne has seen her fame skyrocket, as she now has 5.3million followers on Instagram and 8.1million on TikTok.

She's also become a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model and scored deals with the likes of American Eagle and Motorola, with her NIL valuation estimated at a whopping $3.9million by On3.

Dunne's fifth season of college gymnastics will begin in January but she has already been hitting the gym in preparation after a jampacked summer.

In between supporting Skenes at Pittsburgh Pirates games, she was seen cheering on Simone Biles and Team USA at the Paris Olympics.

She shared a TikTok video from her seat where she watched Biles perform, uploading the video with the excitable caption of: 'GO USA RAH' as Biles collected a gold medal.

Biles is now the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history, as she won four more in Paris (three gold) to bring her total to 11 (seven gold) overall.
