The 48-year-old visited the immigration offices at El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá on Saturday to file a complaint that he had lost his money and luggage, authorities told DailyMail.com
The man, identified as Veselin Hristov by Colombian news outlet El Colombian, arrived August 21 on a flight from Turkey and became further enraged when he was unable to withdraw the money that his sister had deposited into his account so that he could purchase his return flight.
After noticing that the money wasn't available in an ATM machine, Hristov broke a bottle and held a piece of broken glass to his neck.

Hristov appeared to be jolted by the taser and managed to remain on his feet when a bystander threw a luggage bag at him.
Despite being hit in the face with the bag, Hristov collided with a woman at an ATM and kept running.
Another bystander could be heard shouting, ‘Stop him, knock him down. He’s going to kill himself, damn.’
Hristov ran through the crowd before a cop and a security guard ran after him.

He was rushed to an area clinic, where he received treatment for his non-life-threatening wounds and was discharged Sunday, the Colombian National Police airport division said to DailyMail.com in a statement.
