Fear for Indiana Fever fans struck during Monday night's game as guard and Rookie of the Year frontrunner Caitlin Clark went down with an injury.
As Clark was trying to play defense against the Atlanta Dream, she appeared to roll her ankle after a tangle with Atlanta's Nia Coffey.
Clark went down and screamed out in pain as she hit the ground with the play being blown dead so that training staff could check on her.
Trainers eventually helped her to her feet as she left the game to be attended to.
Social media reaction was swift after she went to the ground - with many wishing her the best.
