Kamala Harris and running mate Tim Walz have yet to do a formal interview, though one is in the works, but the Minnesota governor did give his biggest sit-down to date this week with a TikTok star.
Walz joined host Kareem Rahma on 'SubwayTakes' to talk about his 'take' involving home gutters.
'My take is the most neglected part of home ownership is the gutters,' Walz told Rahma. 'It's personal for me.'
The Democratic vice presidential nominee has been known to dole out home and car improvement advice on social media, and the interview posted on Tuesday was no different.
'SubwayTakes' typically involves Rahma interviewing people including some celebrities on the New York City subway while both hold mics clipped to New York subway Metro Cards.
In this special edition, he and Walz also appear to be on a train but not in the New York subway system.
Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz joins TikTok's 'SubwayTakes' to talk about home gutter maintenance
The episode comes as Walz and the vice president have been facing mounting pressure to do a formal interview but have opted to engage with social media personalities instead so far.
It was announced on Tuesday that the pair will sit down with CNN for their first joint interview airing Thursday night. It will be conducted by chief political correspondent and anchor Dana Bash.
The vice president had said she wanted to schedule an interview by the end of the month, so the interview comes in just under the wire.
For now, the vice president and Walz have both opted to appear on social media including Walz' sharing advice on 'SubwayTakes.'

'I've had problems with gutters before. You get your basement wet. You get ice dams. It causes a lot of problems,' Walz said in the video.
'It is not good,' Rahma agreed.
'No, it's not, but there are fixes,' Walz added. 'Now the other dangerous thing is that when you live in Minnesota, Fall's a great time of year, a lot of leaves.'
'You got to get up on a ladder,' Walz continues as Rahma nods along. Both men agree with how dangerous it is.
'But there's a fix, you can put a gutter helmet over the top of it,' Walz said.
'It covers it. It lets the water go through, keeps the water out of your house,' he explained. 'I see this all the time.'
The 60-year-old admitted he looks at gutters 'quite often, surprisingly.' He said he tries not to be judgemental but when he sees a 'well tended gutter, it says a lot about somebody.'
Both men started to crack up, clearly enjoying their exchange.
Rahma asks Walz where he buys gutters before they launch into singing the jingle for Menards: 'Save big money at Menards.'
The pair also talk about cheeseburgers in the less than two-minute video.
The TikTok account has more than 480,000 followers. The Instagram account version has more than 314,000 followers.
Kamala Harris and Tim Walz have both made social media appearances but will do their first formal interview with CNN. By the time it airs on Thursday, Harris will have gone 39 days since Biden dropped out of the presidential race and she mounted her own bid without doing an interview with a journalist
Harris has also opted to appear on social media over sitting down with a journalist so far.
She joined Track Star on TikTok last where she was able to highlight her music knowledge identifying songs by Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis and Too $hort and talk about how music has impacted her life.
The video has been viewed more than 937,000 times as of Tuesday.
