A Texas assistant principal has been left partially blind, with her eye falling out of its socket, after a wild attack from a student.
The 11-year-old male student had become violent in a Corsicana campus and attacked another kid, forcing the students and teacher to flee the classroom on Aug 15.
As Collins Intermediate School assistant principal Candra Rogers arrived to help, the boy was throwing chairs.
Despite blocking three chairs the enraged boy threw at her, she wasn't able to stop a wooden hanger he flung at her.
'The hanger hit me in my right eye and knocked it out of the socket,' she recalled, surrounded by her husband and family members at a press conference Tuesday.
'I grabbed my face while blood was pouring out of my head and stumbled out of the classroom door.'

Rogers was airlifted from the small North Texas town to Dallas, about 55 miles away, for medical treatment where doctors were able to reattach her eye.

'I am still believing God for a miracle for restoration of my sight,' Rogers added.
'We should never have to fear being in a classroom with an aggressive student.'

Rogers was escorted into the press conference by her husband, a coach at the same school district
Rogers, surrounded by family members, thanked the community for their prayers and help during her recovery
