A Tennessee teenager died suddenly while he was out jogging in extremely high temperatures, according to officials.
The Sycamore High School student, 15, died on Tuesday night in Pleasant View, which is about a 30-minute drive from Nashville.
Authorities have not identified the student as of Wednesday.
A cause of death remains unknown pending an autopsy, but officials said temperatures reached more than 100 degrees in Middle Tennessee on Tuesday.
Officials said medical examiners will determine if the heat played a role in the tragedy.

The school district issued a statement about the boy's death, calling it an immeasurable loss.
'The Cheatham County School District is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of a Sycamore High School student,' the statement read, as reported by WKRN.
'Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to the student’s family and friends during this difficult time. The impact of such a loss is immeasurable.
'Counseling support is being provided this week at Sycamore High School to assist those affected during this grieving process.'
