An influencer is facing furious backlash after she put her baby in a DIY hammock while on a nine-hour flight. 

Glamorous Brazilian content creator Natália Figueira usually sends heads spinning due to her elegant ensembles and impressive makeup skills. 

But, this time, the brunette beauty left people horrified with her parenting hack.

The mom-of-one took to social media to show off the tiny hammock she created for her nine-month-old, Maria, by tying a blanket between the back of the seats in front of where she was sitting.

The viral video, which has so far amassed over 7.5 million views, left people on the web less than impressed as they slammed her for her 'dangerous' parenting practice.

The mom-of-one took to TikTok to show off what she thought was a genius life-hack that saw her putting her nine-month-old, Maria, in a hammock that she had 

She captioned the clip: 'Pure improvisation! We use the blanket they give you on the plane, tie it to the tables on both sides, add the pillow, and that's it!

'A helping hand, right? Maria loved it!' 

The video showed her baby laying in the blanket and swinging during a 4,000-mile flight from Brazil to Miami, Florida.

While the mom-of-one thought her trick was a perfect travel hack, viewers were quick to critique the idea - many slamming the mom for potentially harming her baby.

'Don't do it!!!!! Your baby is going to stop on the ceiling if they experience an unexpected turbulence,' one user wrote.

'If the plane crashes, she may end up getting hurt,' another warned. 

'People don't do this it's dangerous,' urged one as a fourth added: 'If the plane crashes she can get hurt.'

Viewers were quick to critique her traveling hack, slamming the mom for potentially putting her baby in a dangerous position 

However others had no issues with the makeshift baby hammock.

'People really think turbulence is going to take the baby out of the net lol,' a user pointed out.

The beauty icon was quick to release a statement following the backlash. 

'We put her inside, she played a little, but we know that children don't stay still,' she told Newsflash.

'It was when we recorded the video that was posted that she wanted to get out.' 

The mom insisted she would have never put her daughter in danger. 

The influencer added: 'We know that a child won't spend hours on a flight in peace. So as not to disturb the other passengers, we bring several distractions.'
