A grandmother was killed when a suicidal man who jumped from a freeway overpass went through her windscreen and hit her.
Margarita Novela Galindo was in the passenger seat as her husband Florencio drove them along the 210 Freeway in Sylmar, Los Angeles, on August 9.
Bystanders called police at 7.17pm saying he was threatening to jump from the Roxford overpass, and he went over the edge before they could arrive.
The man hit the Galindos' car so hard that he went straight through the windscreen and hit Margarita as she sat in her seat. He was taken to hospital in critical condition and it is unclear if he survived. His name has not been released.
