A glamorous yoga instructor is being blasted for hopping over a safety railing and performing risky poses on a fragile Zion National Park rock.

National Park enthusiasts shared a video of the woman to the Tourons of National Parks Instagram - a page dedicated to documenting instances of 'tourist morons.'

The woman stepped over the barrier that separates the walking path and the edge of the cliff to show off her yoga skills.

With nothing behind her to stop her from falling, the yogi performs a dancer pose which sees her balancing on one leg while she pulls the other behind her head.

After completing her pose, the woman then sits down on the ledge and dangles her legs off the rock.

Critics have slammed the woman for putting her safety at risk and ignoring Zion's  safety rules.

'She should be arrested and banned from posting at any national park! How dangerous and misleading. There are rules for a reason. If someone falls others lives are in danger rescuing them,' said one person.

'The level of f**k around and find out is crazy. Honestly really dislike people that blatantly disregard safety rails and signs. If she fell to her death that’s on her. But I don’t want a recovery team to be put at risk for her stupidity,' a second person said.

A third person said, 'I'm sick of these people who think the rules are not for them. They put others at risk of they need to be rescued. Lots of these morons end up dead from doing these stunts.'

'Park service needs to mega fine that foolish woman,' said another.

Zion National Park advises visitors to stick to the trails, stay back from cliff edges and observe posted warnings.

'Your safety depends on your own good judgment, adequate preparation, and constant awareness. Your safety is your responsibility,' the national park said on its website.

'Falls from cliffs on trails have resulted in death. Loose sand or pebbles on stone are very slippery. Be careful of edges when using cameras or binoculars. Never throw or roll rocks. There may be hikers below you. Be aware of the hazards to keep you, others, and park resources safe during your visit.'

Others criticized the woman for disrespecting nature and putting herself and others at risk just so she can get a video.

'This is not what yoga teaches us about honoring other cultures, their sacred spaces, and following rules which are created for our safety,' one person said.

'I think we by now are so sick of these self centered attention seekers that not having them in a beautiful picture of nature would be so much more pleasant. Please STOP with the selfie,' said another.

'People who adore themselves as much as these idiots do cannot be cured,' a third person said.

'What a complete d**b a** ! But it is motivated wholly by social media and a need for clicks/likes/money all of which are not worth the cost of a body recovery,' a fourth said.
