Wyoming's 'Little Yellowstone' ranch has hit the market for a whopping $85 million after being owned by same family for 129 years.

The iconic Antlers Ranch, dubbed 'Little Yellowstone' by locals, is the most expensive property on the market in the Cowboy State.

The sprawling ranch, owned by the same family since 1895, is a nature lover's paradise, with breathtaking views and more than 40,000 acres of pristine wilderness.

The property also has 16,532 acres of farmland.

From its river bottoms to its alpine peaks, the ranch's varied landscape is home to more than 330 species of wildlife, including trophy moose, elk, antelope, white-tailed deer and bears.

The property has been owned by the May family since 1895 and is affectionately known as 'Little Yellowstone' - because it is at the heart of the park's ecosystem.

A agent selling the ranch says the owners have managed to balance agriculture with 'a rich history of stewardship and conservation.'

'People refer to it as Little Yellowstone,'

'And that has to do with the amount of controlled acreage,' listing agent Latham Jenkins told Cowboy State Daily.

'There's a phenomenal amount of wildlife habitat, and the reference to Little Yellowstone is because it has more than 330 species of wildlife on it, and it's connected to the Shoshone National Forest, which is part of the Greater Yellowstone.'

Jenkins noted similarities between the ranch and the hit TV show 'Yellowstone'.

'The television show is like this ranch,' Jenkins told the outlet. 'These are private, deeded acres with a combination of leased acreage and the Forest Service and BLM. And they don't graze cattle, they graze bison. The bison makes it feel like "Yellowstone." And this is where the bison were meant to be.'

The listing comes as Taylor Sheridan, creator of hit show Yellowstone, reportedly shelled out $4.95 million for a sprawling 179-acre ranch in Wyoming.

'It has phenomenal big game to hunt on it,' Jenkins said. 'And that has a lot to do with the fact that they have allowed very limited hunting on the ranch. That's allowed the propagation of the best genetics.'

The ranch is a fully functional working estate, complete with a variety of structures to support ranching operations.

It includes two primary residences, four homes, a bunkhouse and a duplex.

The property's current owners have a rich history intertwined with the American West.

'At the time, the cattle industry was at a low point, and bison were less expensive,' Jenkins said.

'They require little labor, they calve on their own and rarely require winter feed.'
