A teenage drunk driver has plowed an out-of-control Mustang into a family home, narrowly avoiding a couple and their four dogs.

Marcus Holmberg and Sabrina Rivera suffered minor cuts and bruises after the car crashed through their dining room at about 10.30pm on Friday night.

Extraordinary footage of the incident shows the car speeding into the couple's home as they sat down for dinner on the couch. Three of their four dogs were also in the room.

Holmberg said 'me and my lady are lucky to be alive' after the close call.

'Some a****le' was drinking and driving and decided to try to do donuts... went through our house.'

Police arrested an 18-year-old boy on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Holmberg has since revealed he and Rivera have 'decided to press charges.'

'He nearly killed us,' Holmberg said of the decision.

'I have to miss work and I have to go to the hospital.'

Upon reviewing the CCTV footage, Holmberg said the driver was on track to drive straight into Rivera, but crashed into his truck parked right outside of the house, which derailed the course he was heading in.

'He was bumped over and he narrowly missed us. If he didn’t hit my truck, he would’ve went straight into her,' he said.

'Thank God that I parked it right there. I had to go to the store only an hour and 20 minutes before that and I parked it right there.'

'Thank God they're okay... the dogs are all okay,' he said.

The couple have now set up a GoFundMe appeal, hoping to raise $30,000 to repair their home.

'We are just trying to survive. we’re asking for the bare minimum to get our home fixed. And my truck repaired,' he said.
