A missing three-year-old boy died after he was found in a Pennsylvania park pond on Labor Day, police said.
Tredyffrin Township Police responded to calls of a missing child approximately 20 miles outside of Philadelphia in Chesterbrook's bustling Wilson Farm Park around 7 p.m. on Monday.
The child had been under the supervision of a nanny prior to his disappearance, according to police.
They quickly located the boy in a nearby pond and started resuscitation efforts until he was transported to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, King of Prussia Campus.
'There's no swimming in that pond, no fishing in that pond. It's more decorative than anything else. It's about 100 yards down from the playground,' Captain Tyler Moyer told WPVI.

The child later died at the hospital and police are still investigating the incident. Authorities have not released his name.
Earlier that day police advised community members to avoid the area surrounding the park and noted an increase in police activity, including helicopters in the vicinity.
Moyer said the park was packed with people celebrating the holiday and they quickly able to locate the boy.
'There was hundreds of people around, you know a beautiful day like [Monday], people were having picnics, they were using the pavilions, things like that, the playground was packed full of people,' Moyer told FOX 29.

Wilson Farm Park is 90 acres and has three pavilions, picnic areas, an amphitheater and several athletic fields.
The pond is not used for recreational purposes but reportedly to fuel the park's sprinkler system.
