A Florida cop was left red-faced after thieves walked off with his police-issue handgun while he was sitting on a gas station toilet.
The dozy deputy had stopped to answer nature's call at a RaceTrac restroom in Oviedo in Seminole County at around 5:30 pm on Thursday.
He dumped his vest on the floor and slung his gun belt over a railing after entering a disabled stall at the outlet on Red Bug Lake Road.
It was only after leaving to answer a service call that he noticed his gun belt was now missing its gun, and dashed back to the store in a bid to see if it was still there.
When his colleagues examined the store's security footage they saw a man leaving the restroom with a 'noticeable bulge showing on the right side of his waist', before discovering that the Sig Sauer P320 had been sold for '$40 via a CashApp'.
Chance Byron, left, and Damari Dennis, right, have been charged with multiple offences after allegedly stealing a police issue handgun left by an officer in a Florida restroom

Chance Byron, 26, and 'violent felon' Damari Dennis, 23, were arrested at their homes in nearby Orlando and charged with multiple offenses including grand theft of a firearm.
Arrest affidavits note that the as yet unnamed officer was making a call on his cellphone when the thief 'possibly reached under the stall and removed his firearm from his gun belt without him seeing it happen'.
But WFTV9 reported that the security footage showed the deputy had already left the gas station by the time the two men pulled up to its gas pumps.
Investigators said that the arrested men admitted seeing the deputy's gun inside the stall 'sticking out of the toilet paper roll'.
Denis told police he 'didn't want to touch it because he was on probation'.
But Byron told them that Dennis pointed out the weapon to him before picking it up.
Video showed Byron walking out of the bathroom with a large bulge next to his waist and his right arm pressed against his side, before both men got back into Byron's car and left the gas station.
Dennis is regarded as a 'violent felony offender', according to the sheriff's office and has been on probation since April with the Florida Department of Corrections.
Dennis's social media pages reveal he has a long-standing interest in firearms

His social media pages, on which he describes himself as a 'digital creator', reveal a long-standing interest in firearms and feature photos of himself nuzzling one handgun against his chin and using a laser sight to aim another.
Chance's bail has been set at $20,000 for dealing in stolen property and grand larceny of a firearm.
Dennis's has been set at $5,000 for grand larceny of a firearm, $15,000 for dealing in stolen property, and another $15,000 for possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Both men are due in court on October 8.
The officer is expected to face a disciplinary investigation by the department's professional standards division.
