A wealthy family in Nantucket is about to have their lives turned upside down in the first trailer for the upcoming limited series The Perfect Couple.
Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber star as the heads of this affluent clan, who are hosting their son's wedding that is said to be the summer event of the season.
Things go horribly awry for Greer Garrison Winbury (Kidman), a world-famous novelist, her husband Tag (Liev Schreiber) and their kids Abby (Dakota Fanning), Thomas (Jack Reynor) Will (Sam Nivola) and Benji (Billy Howle).
The Netflix limited series is adapted from the 2018 Elin Hilderbrand novel of the same name, which also stars Eve Hewson as the bride-to-be Amelia and Meghann Fahy as Amelia's best friend Merritt Monaco.
The limited series - which held its UK premiere on Monday - is slated to debut with all six episodes premiering globally on September 5, with fans already reacting online and reviewers comparing it to HBO's The White Lotus.

The trailer begins with a confused Tag alone in an interrogation room, knocking on the double-sided mirror, asking, 'Hello?' Though no one answers.
Meanwhile, Thomas asks in another interrogation room, 'Am I under arrest? Or can I go get something to eat?'
Greer turns over a piece of paper casually as someone says, 'They're rich. Kill someone and get away with it rich.'
A family portrait is being taken as Will says, 'We are the perfect family' as the picture is being taken.
The trailer shows their idyllic beachfront lifestyle as Tag tells the family, 'We've all been under a considerable amount of stress... because of the accident.'
The cops are seen taping off parts of their private beach and bagging evidence, as Greer says, 'It's all such a shock and we're all so very upset.'
Reporters ask Tag if he has comment on the body found on the property and if his wife is a suspect.
Thomas tells a cop, 'I would have thought that our family's contribution to the Nantucket Fund would afford us a little more discretion,' but the cop just laughs.

The trailer then offers some insights into several characters including Greer, who a witness says, 'makes anyone who spends time at the house sign an NDA.'
Tag is described by his stepdaughter Abby as a 'DILF' while Benji is described by chief of police Dan Carter (Michael Beach) as, 'tough to read.'
Will is seen screaming, 'I f***ing hate them,' seemingly referring to his family, while Thomas is described as, 'an idiot.'
Thomas ultimately proves that description true himself, by stating in an interrogation room, 'Yes, I take pills from everyone. Is that a crime?'
An incredulous detective Nikki Henry (Donna Lynne Champlin) simply says, 'Yes!' which Thomas clearly wasn't expecting.
The trailer winds down with a number of shots of showcasing the wealthy family's life, with Carter saying the family is, 'used to getting everything they want, the minute they feel they're losing control, they burn it all down.'
The final shot shows Greer telling Carter, 'Even the best of liars get very tired, all gets too overwhelming and they snap.'
Following its premiere in London, reviews are starting to trickle in, with Forbes calling it the 'best whodunit of 2024' to date.
