Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey has hit out at Travis Kelce on his Punch Line podcast - and claims Taylor Swift's influence is why he struck a $100million deal with Amazon for New Heights.

Humphrey and the Ravens will face Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night at Arrowhead Stadium in a massive showdown to start the new NFL season.

And Humphrey is relishing the chance to inflict a loss on the Super Bowl winners amid Kelce's dominance in podcasting due to the growing success of New Heights.

Talking to his co-host Jack Settleman about the game, Humphrey said: 'I pray for this - to go against him because he has tried to take everything from me.

'He tried to take it all from me. He has got to pay. He has got to pay for what he has done to the podcast space. How he has tried to eliminate us.

'And honestly, it is not right. I don't care who he is dating. Did they get engaged? I don't care who he is dating.'

Humphrey then took aim at the recent $100million New Heights deal that Travis and brother Jason signed to continue with their podcast ahead of the new season.

'Sep. 6 it will be pod vs pod,' Humphrey said - appearing to mix up when his team plays the Chiefs, which is on Sep. 5. 'We will see what heights are higher. Yeah.'

While appealing irate when hitting out at Kelce to begin with, Humphrey seemed to cool down the more he spoke and adopted more of a light-hearted tone as the conversation went on.

He did, however, suggest that Taylor Swift's influence was behind the money-spinning podcast deal the Kelce brothers struck.

'Maybe if you beat him, Amazon gives us the deal,' Settleman said. 'Would you trash talk him and say Taylor's music is trash? Do you think people have trashed Taylor's music on the field?'

'People talk a lot of trash,' he said. 'He is actually a cool dude though, he's just football trash. What can you really say (about Taylor Swift)?

'He might just start laughing. If he laughed, I'd laugh back. "I was kidding, bro! Want to come on the show and be a guest? Bring Taylor". That would do us numbers.'

Settleman questioned if Swift would raise awareness of their podcast, saying: 'She hasn't been on their podcast! That has got to be on the Amazon deal.'

Humphrey agreed, saying: 'That has got to be in Amazon deal. Gotta be. Screw them. Unless she wants to come on for real.'

Last year, Kelce and the Chiefs beat the Ravens 17-10 in Baltimore to win the AFC Championship and reach the Super Bowl, where they beat the San Francisco 49ers.

Kelce and the Chiefs are lining up a shot at history this season - they could become the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowl titles.

Speaking earlier on Tuesday, Kelce insisted his fame off the field is no distraction ahead of the new season.

'I just love football. It takes me away from life and gives me something I can be genuinely happy about,' he said.

'I enjoy coming in the building and working on my craft, getting to understand a new game plan and perfecting that with people around me. It gives me a purpose to go about my day and live my life.

'I have so much excitement doing it. It's going to be hard to know when to call it quits or not.'
