Donald Trump is mulling over the names who will fill the final slots in his Cabinet after celebrating his election victory at a Mar-a-Lago gala on Thursday night.

He made a wise crack at close adviser billionaire Elon Musk about the length of time he's been spending with him at his Palm Beach, Florida, home.

'He likes this place, I can't get him out of here! He likes this place,' Trump said.

The president-elect is set to meet with candidates for Treasury Security, with Scott Bessent and Fox Business host Larry Kudlow said to be in the running for top cabinet roles.

He also named sharp-tongued campaign spokesman Steven Cheung to the top White House communications director role.

Former FBI agent-turned Republican Rep. Mike Rogers is believed to be under consideration for Director of the FBI, alongside firebrand loyalist Kash Patel.

President-elect Donald Trump officially brought his sharp-tongued campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung into the White House - announcing Friday he'll serve as communications director.

Cheung worked on all three Trump campaigns and formerly worked in communications for the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Additionally, on Friday, Trump announced that Sergio Gor - an aide who previously worked for Republican Sen. Rand Paul - will be the director of the Presidential Personnel Office.

'Steven Cheung and Sergio Gor have been trusted Advisors since my first Presidential Campaign in 2016, and have continued to champion America First principles throughout my First Term, all the way to our Historic Victory in 2024,' Trump said in a statement. 'I am thrilled to have them join my White House as we, Make America Great Again!'

Exclusive:Could Sean Spicer be about to land massive Pentagon job?

From Rob Crilly, Chief U.S. Political Correspondent in Washington, D.C.

Donald Trump 's former Press Secretary Sean Spicer is on a shortlist to become U.S. Navy secretary, DailyMail.com has learned.

Spicer, 53, who now hosts his own online politics show, was the public face of Trump's first White House for six months in 2017.

But he was also a Navy reservist, rising to the rank of commander.

As a result, his name has been floated as a potential secretary of the Navy as Trump goes about building an administration of loyalists and faces familiar from his first term in office.

And Spicer visited Mar-a-Lago this week, according to a source familiar with the vetting process.

Dems tell Pelosi to 'take a seat' with lawmakers sick of her criticism

Nancy Pelosi is under fire from her own Democratic lawmakers, who are annoyed with her public complaints about what the party did wrong in the election that resulted in their loss of the White House, Senate and House of Representatives.

Several Democratic lawmakers complained anonymously to Axios about the former speaker.

'She needs to take a seat,' said one senior Democrat. 'Making scattershot comments is not just unhelpful, it's damaging.'

Other Democrats think she needs to step back and let Hakeem Jeffries, the House Democratic leader, lead.

'Hakeem has been tremendously graceful and respectful of her, but I don't think she is being respectful of him,' said a member of the Congressional Black Caucus.

Lame duck Biden shines next to Peruvian president whose approval rating is just 4 percent

President Joe Biden is a lame duck leader on his diplomatic swan song whose party just lost the White House and the Senate.

But he could take heart inside the meeting rooms of the APEC summit in Peru of being hosted by a leader who is more unpopular than he is – by a lot.

Peruvian President Dina Boluarte has a stunningly low approval rating of just 4 percent, according to Ipsos. It doesn’t help that she was elevated from the vice presidency when President Pedro Castillo tried to dissolve Congress, or that journalists discovered she was sporting pricey Rolex watches despite a humble background. That prompted a police raid on her home.

But Biden, who himself owns a Rolex, was in a self-deprecating frame of mind when he met with Boluarte and NASA Administrator Bill Nelson in Lima Friday. ‘Every time my wife thinks I'm getting out of hand, she says I'm going to call him and have him send you to space,’ he joked. His late October Gallup approval rating was 41 percent.

During a one-on-one meeting with Boluarte that lasted about 50 minutes Friday, Biden 'did underscore the importance of respect for democracy and – and strengthening democratic institutions,' according to a senior administration official.

Steve Bannon urges Trump to rip apart the FBI and return Mark Milley to active duty so he can face court martial

Donald Trump 's former strategist Steve Bannon says former Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley should be returned to uniform on the first day of the new administration so he can be court martialed.

Bannon, who was recently released from federal prison, laid out his priorities for the next Trump White House and said he had been in close contact with his former boss, advising him on appointments.

The populist provocateur spoke to former Trump Press Secretary Sean Spicer in an interview that will be released at 6pm on Friday .

And his recent stint in prison has clearly done nothing to dim his revolutionary zeal.

'Number one thing is, I think Mark Milley has got to be recalled ... the first action of President Trump,' said Bannon.

Fox host pulls himself out of the running to be Trump's Treasury Secretary

Fox Business host Larry Kudlow pulled himself from consideration from a top economic job in the upcoming Trump administration just hours after it was reported he was being considered.

Kudlow met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago in Florida this week and was being considered to lead the National Economic Council as well as the plum Treasury Department cabinet post, according to the Wall Street Journal.

But on Friday, he yanked his name from consideration.

'Larry Kudlow recently signed a new deal to continue hosting his eponymous program on FOX Business and has no plans to leave his current role helming one of the highest rated shows on the network,' a Fox News spokesperson said in a statement to DailyMail.com.

Kudlow, 77, is a conservative TV host who served as Trump's director of the National Economic Council during his first term from April 2018 until he left office in January 2021 before joining the Fox Business Network with his own weekday program.

Obama once considered RFK Jr. for key cabinet role with backing from Hillary Clinton

President-elect Donald Trump's supporters are pushing back on the outrage over Robert Kennedy Jr. being nominated as Health and Human Services Secretary by pointing out he was once up for a role in the Obama administration.

Kennedy, a known vaccine skeptic who has pushed conspiracy theories in recent years, was announced Trump's pick to help 'Make America Great and Healthy Again' on Thursday.

Critics have called the 70-year-old former Democrat dangerous, an unqualified extremist and unfit for the role as the Senate prepares to take up his nomination in the new year.

But Trump allies have pointed out the member of the prominent political family was once under consideration years ago to serve under President Obama in a different cabinet level position.

According to the old report by Politico, President-elect Obama's team in 2008 was considering Kennedy as administrator to the Environmental Protection Agency where he would have been tasked with enforcing clear air and water laws.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said it won’t be ‘easy’ negotiating with the incoming Trump administration.

Reflecting on a brutal trade clash when questioned about the incoming administration, Trudeau said that ‘when Donald Trump first got elected in 2016, he made a commitment to rip up one of the most successful trade deals that the world’s ever seen’ – in reference to NAFTA.

But he said that set in motion talks to try to create a ‘win-win’ that resulted in the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement, in remarks at the APEC summit in Lima.

‘It wasn’t easy. And nothing’s going to be easy this time. Little secret: there is no American administration that is automatically easy for the Canadian government. They take a very robust look at their own interests and Canada adjusts.

President Joe Biden continued to ignore reporters' questions as he met with the leaders of Japan and South Korea at APEC Friday.

Biden's only engagement with journalists since Vice President Kamala Harris' bruising election loss has been when he told a female reporter: 'Do you think you can keep from getting hit in the head by a - a camera behind you?'

She asked if he thought he'd be able to hostage deal before leaving office in January.

During Friday's trilateral meeting, Biden stayed tight-lipped as he was asked about Russia deploying North Korean soldiers - and then what he was telling leaders about the incoming American administration of President-elect Donald Trump.

Biden also ignored a question from DailyMail.com about Trump's eyebrow-raising appointments.

The president admitted during his opening remarks that 'this is likely to be my last trilateral meeting with this important group.'

'We’ve now reached a moment of significant political change,' he also said, though that seemingly wasn't a direct reference to the U.S. election, as he congratulated Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba for his own election win.

Speaker Mike Johnson must create a committee to combat cartels, Texas lawmaker demands

Jon Michael Raasch, Political Reporter for DailyMail.com on Capitol Hill

Texas Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw asked Speaker Mike Johnson to stand up a new committee dedicated to threats posed by transnational cartels.

The lawmaker posted on X Friday that he wishes to see a select committee assembled to tackle cartel-related issues. The cartel select committee would function similarly to the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, Crenshaw wrote.

'The cartels are the greatest near-term threat. Full stop. President Trump agrees,' the Republican posted. 'I lead the House Cartel Task Force. We have solutions. But we don’t have any authority.'

'A select committee will have a better chance of moving these bills to the House floor and to a president who will sign them.'

'The select committee would show that House Republicans are aligned with and committed to President Trump’s agenda to destroy the cartels.'

Attached to the post was an image of a resolution that could be enacted to formalize the cartel committee.

Democrats are all saying the same thing about Trump's latest Cabinet picks

Jon Michael Raasch, Political Reporter for DailyMail.com on Capitol Hill

Democrat lawmakers are enraged at Donald Trump's recent picks for Cabinet, saying his selections are downright 'dangerous.'

The president-elect has stirred controversy after nominating a rash of hardline conservatives to top positions in the executive branch.

Two of the most polarizing nominations, at least for Democrats, are Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Health and Human Services Secretary and ex-Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz for attorney general.

Exiting the Capitol Friday, Democrats made clear their disdain for Trump's selections, claiming those nominated are conspiracy theorists and overall 'horrible people.'

'I mean, the absolute worst is RFK Jr. as health secretary,' Rep. Robert Garcia, D-Calif., told DailyMail.com. 'There isn't anybody that's more dangerous or destructive for our nation's health.

NASA staff beg Elon Musk to 'clean house' after agency spent millions of Americans' money on DEI agenda

NASA staff are calling on Elon Musk to 'clean house' as it is revealed the agency blew millions of taxpayer money on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs.

Spending reports from 2020 to 2024 showed NASA awarded grants to universities and consulting firms to support 'environmental justice' and initiatives that 'embrace greater diversity and inclusive practices.'

LMI consulting received over $2 million in 2023 for NASA to 'embark on a venture to incorporate and deeply engrain diversity, inclusion, equity and accessibility in the culture and business.'

Another $3 million went to Booze Allen Hamilton in March to support NASA's 'office of diversity and equal opportunity DEI data analytic specialty,' and $ 7 million was announced last month for six 'minority-serving institutions.'

Amid these expenditures, staff have voiced concerns online about budget shortages, citing struggles with 'limited funds' due to 'wasteful spending.' Software engineer Kyle Sorensen told he hopes Musk will 'clean house.'

Musk, along with former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, was tapped to lead the Department of Government Efficiency that aims to 'slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures and restructure Federal Agencies.'

A former NASA employee told DailyMail.com that NASA's DEI is 'destroying America's ability to compete with China in space because the Biden-Harris administration will only fund programs that feature it.'

Matt Gaetz's wife Ginger posts cryptic picture at Mar-a-Lago as her husband's sex abuse allegations resurface

Matt Gaetz's wife, Ginger, posted an image of her husband with Argentine President Javier Milei at Mar-a-Lago Thursday with a very telling caption.

Writing 'strong men create good times', the posting on Elon Musk's X platform, comes after former President Donald Trump upended Washington with his announcement of her husband as his attorney general pick.

Senate Republicans were so shocked by the move that some of them have suggested they might withhold their support for Gaetz,, which would constitute a rare break with their party leader.

The former Florida congressman promptly resigned his seat after Trump's announcement two days ago as it emerged a House committee was probing the allegations of a 17-year-old girl who alleges Gaetz had sex with her.

President Joe Biden arrived for his first full day of APEC meetings Friday in Lima, Peru - as two towering figures overshadow him on the trip.

One is President-elect Donald Trump - who world leaders are already buzzing about.

The other is Chinese President Xi Jinping - who arrived after Biden during the first APEC session Friday morning.

Biden will hold what's likely to be his final meeting with Xi on Saturday.

Press was only allowed into the room to hear Peruvian President Dina Boluarte give her opening remarks - and Xi had yet to enter the large room.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau showcased his usual gregarious manner, as he was spotted hopping around the circular table greeting leaders as Boluarte kicked off her welcome.

Biden then entered the room, as he was the second to last leader to arrive. He was accompanied by Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Speaker Mike Johnson says he does not want Matt Gaetz's Ethics Committee report released

Jon Michael Raasch, Political Reporter for DailyMail.com on Capitol Hill

Republican Speaker Mike Johnson said Friday he does not want the House Ethics Committee to release its report on Matt Gaetz.

'I'm going to strongly request that the Ethics Committee not issue the report because that is not the way we do things in the House, and I think that would be a terrible precedent to set,' Johnson said coming out of his office.

Gaetz notably resigned earlier this week after being nominated to serve as Donald Trump's attorney general.

The Ethics panel was set to meet today to decide whether to release the report, but since Gaetz resigned after being nominated. However, the committee no longer has jurisdiction over the Florida Republican.

By Emily Goodin, senior White House correspondent

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz blasted Donald Trump’s choice of Matt Gaetz for attorney general, saying no one would trust him with ‘their teenage’ let alone the justice system.

‘He has no experience whatsoever with the Department of Justice other than being a subject of investigation for trafficking, sex trafficking minors,’ she said on MSNBC. ‘That's his experience with the Department of Justice.’

‘It is an extreme, outrageous nomination, and one that obviously, I think should be defeated.’

‘Most parents wouldn't trust Matt Gaetz with their teenager. Never mind with our entire system of justice,’ she added.

The Democratic congresswoman of Florida was referring to allegations of drug use and sexual misconduct against Gaetz. The House Ethics Committee was investigating him but that probe stopped after he resigned from Congress once Trump announced his nomination to lead the nation’s criminal justice system.

Many lawmakers are demanding to see the ethics report on him, which reportedly contains testimony from a woman who said that Gaetz had sex with her when she was 17.

Zelensky: The war will end faster with Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy Meets Donald Trump, New York, Ny, United States of America - 27 Sep 2024

President Volodymyr Zelensky said Friday the war between Russia and Ukraine will end faster when Donald Trump is in office.

The wartime leader told Ukrainian outlet Suspilne: ‘He heard the basis on which we stand. I have not heard anything against our position.’

Zelensky appeared to suggest that Trump hasn’t demanded he start peace talks with Vladimir Putin.

There are hopes in Europe that the president-elect would be able to engineer a peace deal between Moscow and Kyiv.

Reports have suggested that Trump would push the Ukrainian President to give up ceded territory to bring an end to the brutal conflict.

‘We are an independent country. And during this war, both our people and I personally, in negotiations with the United States, with Trump, with Biden, and with European leaders, proved that the rhetoric of "Sit down and listen" does not work with us.’

‘A just peace is very important for us, so that there is no feeling that we have lost the best for the sake of the injustice that was imposed on you.

‘The war will end, but there is no exact date. Certainly, with the policies of this team that will now lead the White House, the war will end faster.

‘This is their approach, their promise to their society, and it is also very important to them.'

Ukraine set its borders in 1991 when they signed their declaration of independence as the Soviet Union collapsed.

Since then Russia has regained about 20 percent of the land.

Ukrainian officials have insisted that any ceasefire deal would not be based on a land deal.

In October, Zelensky said: 'Everyone understands that no matter what path we take, legally no one will recognize the occupied territories as belonging to other countries.'

Speculation grows for who Trump's FBI and Treasury picks could be

Trump is busy at Mar-a-Lago putting together a Cabinet filled with his closest advisers.

Fox Business host Larry Kudlow is reportedly in talks to become Trump's next Treasury Secretary.

It comes as another candidate, Scott Bessent, is expected at Mar-a-Lago today to make his case for the position.

Bessent is a wealthy investor who previously worked for Soros Fund Management, the firm overseen by billionaire George Soros. He was a top fundraiser for Trump’s campaign and has deep Trump family ties, having been friends with Trump’s late brother Robert.

And all eyes are also on who may be tapped as Trump's next FBI Director to replace current leader Chris Wray amid speculation Wray will be forced out early.

Former Rep. Mike Rogers, who led the House Intelligence Committee and ran for Senate in Michigan this past cycle, is reportedly at the top of the list.

Republicans strike internal agreement to raise vote threshold needed to oust leader

Jon Michael Raasch, Political Reporter for DailyMail.com on Capitol Hill

Just over a year after former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy was ousted from power, Speaker Mike Johnson and some hardline conservatives have struck a deal to make it harder to remove him as party leader.

Johnson along with Reps. Dusty Johnson and Andy Harris, revealed this week they have struck a deal to raise the vote threshold for a motion to vacate the speaker from one to nine votes.

Matt Gaetz - Trump's attorney general nominee - notoriously began McCarthy's ouster by raising a motion to vacate the vote.

Gaetz's solitary vote of no confidence kickstarted a revolt against the speaker, ultimately leading to his ousting from power and later retirement from Congress altogether.

The deal will be finalized in rules voted upon in January 2025 and it should provide more stability for the House GOP after members such as Majorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie threatened to raise motions to vacate Johnson earlier this year.

President Joe Biden is set to meet with Japan’s new Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol amid fears North Korea will take ‘provocative’ steps during the presidential transition.

Biden hopes to use the meeting to cement cooperation with the key allies as he holds his first day of meetings at the APEC summit in Peru – after Chinese President Xi Jinping got an elaborate red carpet welcome at the start of his own official state visit here.

The U.S. is already concerned about China’s embrace of Russia despite its brutal war on Ukraine and its ‘belt and road’ investments like its massive new port here. But the country is one of the few with influence over the unpredictable North Korean regime.

‘I do not think we can count on a period of quiet with the DPRK,’ White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan told reporters en route to Lima. ‘The possibility of a seventh nuclear test remains ever present and something we’re vigilant for.’

He also warned about the risks North Korea, which has sent thousands of troops to Russia, could do something unsettling before Donald Trump takes the oath of office. ‘Transitions have historically been time periods when the DPRK has taken provocative actions both before and after the transition from one president to a new president. So that's something we are watching very carefully, and we'll be watching every day between now and January 20,’ he said.

Donald Trump’s whirlwind cabinet selection process is accelerating, with potential Treasury pick Scott Bessent expected at Mar-a-Lago today.

Bessent is a wealthy investor who previously worked for Soros Fund Management, the firm overseen by billionaire George Soros. He was a top fundraiser for Trump’s campaign and has deep Trump family ties, having been friends with Trump’s late brother Robert.

In case Trump had any doubts Bessent would align with his push to slap big tariffs on imports, he penned an op-ed for Fox News where he wrote that ‘tariffs have a long and storied history as both a revenue-raising tool and a way of protecting strategically important industries in the U.S.’

He is being backed publicly by Trump ally Steve Bannon, after breaking his silence about the job days ago. He also told the network ‘I think under Donald Trump we can have a golden age for the next four years.’

But in a twist that echoes Dick Cheney’s famous VP search for George W. Bush, Trump transition co-chair Howard Lutnick is also interested in the job.

He is the CEO of investment firm Cantor Fitzgerald, and has been helping Trump sort through applications for top government jobs.

Pete Hegseth investigated in 2017 over sexual assault allegation but no charges filed

Pete Hegseth, the Fox News host picked by Donald Trump to become Secretary of Defense, was investigated over a sexual assault allegation in 2017, according to multiple reports.

Officials in Monterey, California released a brief statement about the alleged incident.

It occurred between midnight and 7am on October 8, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel.

A police report was filed with Monterey Police Department several days later.

The alleged victim was described as having 'contusions to right thigh'.

Timothy Parlatore, a former Trump lawyer, told Vanity Fair: 'This allegation was already investigated by the Monterey police department and they found no evidence for it.'

Vanity Fair reported that Hegseth told the Trump team the incident was a consensual sexual encounter.

Trump communications director Steven Cheung said: 'Mr. Hegseth has vigorously denied any and all accusations and no charges were filed.

Former Obama chief Rahm Emanuel looks to take control of floundering Democratic Party

Rahm Emanuel, who served as chief of staff to President Barack Obama and as mayor of Chicago is mulling a run for chairman of a Democratic National Committee left reeling by the 2024 election results, a new report reveals.

Three people 'with knowledge of the matter' told Axios the current ambassador to Japan is eyeing a run to replace Jaime Harrison, who is believed unlikely to seek a second term that begins in March, Axios reported.

Observers agree that the Democrats' stunning loss of the White House and Senate while allowing Republicans to keep control of the House of Representatives this month ensures there will be a change of the DNC leadership.

David Axelrod, the political advisor and friend of Emanuel steered Obama's campaigns has been floating his name as capable of righting the Democrats' ship with Republicans in full control of Congress and the White House, the outlet reported.

'If they said, "Well, what should we do? Who should lead the party?" I would take Ambassador Rahm Emanuel, and I would bring him back from Japan and I would appoint him chairman of the Democratic National Committee,' Axelrod, a CNN regular, said on his podcast, 'Hacks on Tap.'

Emanuel does come with baggage, however, especially during a tumltuous term as mayor of Chicago that saw public outcry over the handling of the fatal shooting of a black teen by a whiten police officer and for a family trip to Cuba during the travel ban.

And some in the party may be wary of falling back to the Obama handlers for a solution to the current disarray after years of catering to the pressures of its progressive flank.

Axios noted that Emanuel's 'don't take no for an answer' energy could also be a double-edge sword - seen as an asset for the role by some while his brash style could also hurt his chance to become chairman.

How Matt Gaetz could become Trump's Attorney General without a Senate vote

Matt Gaetz, Donald Trump's controversial pick to lead the Justice Department, could become the attorney general without a Senate confirmation vote through a little-known clause in the Constitution.

In order to become a confirmed Cabinet official, a nominee must receive support from the majority of senators during a floor vote usually following a hearing.

But Trump declared on Truth Social that he wants to use the 'recess appointment' process in order to get his Cabinet picks into office more quickly.

Donald Trump joked about his new bromance with billionaire Elon Musk at Mar-a-Lago, after appointing him to fix government efficiency.

'I believe in high IQs and his is as high as it can get. What a job he does. He likes this place, I can't get him out of here! He likes this place,' Trump said.

At the end of the event, Musk mounted the stage.

'The public has given us a mandate that could not be more clear. The people have spoken, the people want change,' he said.

Musk has been a constant presence at Trump's club since the results of the presidential election came in on November 5.

Since then he has been at Trump's side and the president-elect's granddaughter has even referred to him as 'uncle'.

Sylvester Stallone calls Trump 'second George Washington' introducing him at Mar-a-Lago bash

Sylvester Stallone compared Donald Trump to the Founding Fathers, calling him 'the second George Washington' at a star-studded Mar-a-Lago bash.

The legendary actor, 78, introduced the president with high praise Thursday night at a party for the America First Policy Conference.

He started by talking about how his fictional character Rocky was 'gonna go through a metamorphosis and change lives, just like President Trump.'

Then he made a remark about Trump that was out of this world.

'We are in the presence of a really mythical character. I love mythology and this individual does not exist on this planet,' Stallone said. 'Nobody on earth could have pulled off what he pulled off. I am in awe.'

Amid the applause, he finished by comparing Trump to one of America's founding fathers.

'I'll just say this and I mean it, when George Washington defended his country, he had no idea that he was gonna change the world because without him, you could imagine what the world would look like,' he said.

'Guess what? We got the second coming of George Washington. Congratulations!'

Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions was paid $1 million for a town hall event in Michigan where she endorsed Harris.

But Cardi B swore on her three children that she did not receive money for the celebrity appearance.

'I actually came out of pocket for glam and travel because it’s somewhere I wanted to be,' she said.

Addressing Owens, Cardi B added, 'Like please girl you know damn well I’ll argue you down about politics FOR FREE.'

Other celebrities who endorsed Harris and participated in campaign events included Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Eminem, Lizzo, and Megan Thee Stallion.

Oprah finally explains the controversial $1 million Kamala Harris fee

Under fire from critics including her hometown Chicago newspaper, Oprah Winfrey is now seeking to explain the $1 million fee paid to her production company for a town hall event supporting Kamala Harris.

Before the election, Winfrey's Harpo Productions helped stage a star-studded town hall event for the vice president in Michigan as the billionaire entertainment mogul enthusiastically endorsed Harris to be the next president of the United States.

The Harris campaign footed the bill for organizing the town hall and made a $1 million payment to Winfrey's production company, Harpo Productions.

When first publicly confronted by TMZ with the news on Monday, Winfrey appeared to give a denial.

'Not true' she said, when a cameraman asked her about the payment. 'I was paid nothing. Ever.'

But Winfrey is now scrambling to clarify her remarks in an Instagram post on The Shade Room show account.

'Usually I am reluctant to respond to rumors in general, but these days I realize that if you don’t stop a lie, it just gets bigger,' she wrote.

Winfrey said her production team billed the $1 million fee to the Harris campaign to host the Michigan event on her behalf.

Ilhan Omar has just two words for pro-Israel protester who tells her 'Go to Gaza, sweetheart'

Ilhan Omar had no patience or good graces for a pro-Israel protester who told her to 'Go to Gaza, sweetheart.'

Omar has been accused of antisemitism and anti Israeli-sentiment during her time in Congress, even being kicked off the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

Since the October 7 terror attack on Israeli soil that killed over 1,000 innocent civilians, Omar has lobbied for a cut in military aid to Israel and a ceasefire between the Jewish state and Hamas.

On Wednesday, she faced protesters near Capitol Hill hectoring her about her anti-Israeli views, with one telling her: 'Go to Gaza, sweetheart.'

Omar's response was brief and blunt: 'F**k you!'

The protests came from the pro-Israeli group US Betar, which had been questioning Omar as she was heading from her office to an elevator.

'Why do you stand with Hamas? Why don't you condemn Hamas? Do you like Hamas and Hezbollah?'

After Omar's vulgar response, she immediately gets in the elevator and the doors close.

Ted Cruz gives a surprising response when asked if he will vote to confirm Matt Gaetz as Attorney General

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz did not commit to backing Matt Gaetz for attorney general when asked Thursday.

Cruz demurring on the matter is the latest incident highlighting Congress' hesitancy to get behind Donald Trump's nominee.

Both Republicans and Democrats have bristled at the idea Gaetz could be the top law enforcement official in the U.S.

When Newsmax host Bianca de la Garza pressed Cruz on whether he would vote for Gaetz on Thursday, Cruz avoided answering head on, saying instead he'd rather the former Florida lawmaker go through confirmation hearings first.

'The question is, will he make it through confirmation? Will you vote to confirm him? What do you think of him as a pick?' de la Garza asked.

Cruz did not answer 'yes.'

The Republican replied: 'As for that particular nomination, look, we have a process under the Constitution where the Senate provides advice and consent. And I trust that process.'

'That nominee, like every other will, will have a vigorous vetting, will have confirmation hearings. And every nominee is going to be going to be judged on the merits.'

Woman’s bombshell testimony to Congress claiming Matt Gaetz had sex with her when she was 17 revealed day after Trump nominated him for attorney general

A woman reportedly testified to the House Ethics Committee that Matt Gaetz had sex with her when she was 17 years old.

Gaetz had been the subject of a yearslong House Ethics Committee probe for alleged drug use and sexual misconduct.

But he resigned from Congress on Wednesday after Donald Trump announced him as his pick for attorney general, sparking backlash.

Gaetz's resignation leaves the Ethics Committee without jurisdiction over the Florida Republican, even as the panel was set to vote on Friday on whether it would release its report on the investigation it conducted.

The committee apparently subpoenaed the woman - now in her 20s - at the center of the sex probe this summer.

She sat for multiple days of testimony where she talked about Gaetz and her having sex when she was a minor in high school, sources close to the probe told ABC News.

The accuser reportedly 'represented that she was an adult' on the website where she met Gaetz's friend Joel Greenberg, who in 2022 was sentenced to 11 years in prison for sex trafficking a minor.

'These allegations are invented and would constitute false testimony to Congress. This false smear following a three-year criminal investigation should be viewed with great skepticism,' Gaetz said in a statement.

Trump's RFK Jr. nomination sends stock market into meltdown - as his full plan to 'make America healthy again' is revealed

Donald Trump's nomination of Robert F Kennedy Jr. to lead the Department of Health and Human Services sent shares of major drug companies crashing today.

Moderna stock tumbled seven percent following the announcement of RFK Jr as his most senior health chief, as Pfizer's fell three percent and Novavax saw its shares drop five percent.

The idea of one of the country's foremost vaccine skeptics heading up health policy has many health experts in government nervous, but he has earned praise from the left and right for his plans to crack down on harmful food ingredients that aren't allowed abroad and emphasize exercise and healthy eating over taking pills.

As HHS boss, Kennedy would be in charge of America's three healthcare agencies — the CDC, FDA and the NIH —and would have the power to bring in many of those changes and more.

Kennedy's ‘Make America Healthy Again’ tapped into the frustration at the fact that the US spends more on healthcare than any other country yet is among the sickest, with a lower life expectancy than peer nations like the UK, Canada and Australia.

He claims this contradiction is being driven by corporate interests putting profits over Americans’ health when it comes to vaccines, medications and food and drink.

Kennedy has promised to purge swathes of the workforce at the country's health agencies and stem the revolving door of staff leaving to lobby for food and drug companies.

Donald Trump announces he will nominate South Dakota Governor Doug Burgum as Secretary of the Interior at Mar-a-Lago party

Donald Trump announced on Thursday that North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum - a wealthy former software company executive - would be his pick to head the Interior Department.

Trump was speaking on stage during a gala at his Mar-a-Lago resort when he seemed to debate whether he would spoil the surprise early, before naming Burgum.

'He's going to head the Department of Interior, and it's going to be fantastic,' a tuxedo-wearing Trump said, adding that he would make an official announcement on Friday.

We have a big announcement and I won't tell you the exact name, I think he's an incredible person, he's got an unbelievable wife named Kathryn,' Trump said.

'So I won't tell you his name, it might be something like Burgum, he's from North Dakota. He's going to be announced tomorrow for a big position.'

Trump then acknowledged Burgum, who was in the crowd for the star-studded party at the America First Policy Conference.

'We're gonna do things with energy and with land, interior, that is going to be incredible and so I look forward to doing the formal announcement, although this is a pretty big announcement right now,' Trump added.

He then congratulated Kathryn Burgum before once again promising the official announcement Friday.

Trump proposes starting term TWO MONTHS early at star-studded Mar-a-Lago bash with Sly Stallone, 'first buddy' Elon Musk and MAGA disruptors preparing to upend DC

Donald Trump hosted a star-studded Mar-a-Lago bash where he issued a stark warning to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. while announcing a novel plan to start his presidency two months early.

The president-elect gave a speech at the America First Policy Conference Thursday night as guests including Sylvester Stallone attended the gala at his Palm Beach, Florida club.

Trump addressed the stars of the conservative movement and singled out his selection to lead Health and Human Services.

'Today I nominated him for, I guess, if you like health and you like people that live a long time, it's the most important position,' Trump said about RFK Jr.

He then issued five words of caution to the former Democrat.

'Don't get too popular, Bobby,' he said.

Trump added: 'You know, you've reached about the level. We want you to come up with things and ideas and what you've been talking about for a long time, and I think you're going to do some unbelievable things. Nobody's going to be able to do it like you, and boy does he feel it in his heart.'
