Golden Globes 2025 live updates: Award winner moves audience with tribute to Aubrey Plaza following husband's death

Brady gave a special shoutout to Aubrey during his speech. Her husband passed away on Friday at age 47.

The Netflix series took home its second award of the evening.

While presenting alongside Brandi Carlile, the acclaimed musician poked fun at his eye problems.

'It’s a very special night for me to be here because I don’t know if you know, but there’s been a lot of stories going around about my regressive eyesight and I just wanted to reassure everybody that it’s not as bad as it seems,' he said.

'So I’m so pleased to be here with my cohost, Rihanna,' he added as the crowd erupted in laughter.

Last month, he revealed that a severe eye infection had left him blind in his right eye, with 'limited vision' in his left.

The movie adaptation of the Broadway musical scored four nominations at the 2025 Golden Globes.

Emilia Pérez won for the song El Mal.

Jodie won for Best Female Actor – Limited Series, Anthology Series or Television Motion Picture, but her fellow nominee Sofía Vergara heckled her as she got up onstage.

As the announcer told the crowd that it was Jodie's '10th nomination and fifth win,' Sofia was pictured getting up and approaching the stage as she yelled out, 'Oh no, give me one!

He won for his role in the thriller A Different Man.

The Misery icon joined Twisters star Anthony Ramos, 33, to present the Best Supporting Actress - TV award to Baby Reindeer's Jessica Gunning.

But fans quickly expressed concern for the Oscar winner during the presentation.

Zendaya set tongues wagging at the 2025 Golden Globes after she flashed a massive sparkler on her ring finger.

Immediately, social media became ablaze with rumors that she's engaged to her longtime boyfriend Tom.

The Substance star beat out Amy Adams, Cynthia Erivo, Karla Sofia Gascon, Mikey Madison, and Zendaya.

Demi began her acceptance speech by saying: 'Oh, wow! I really wasn't expecting that. I'm just in shock right now.'

'I've been doing this a long time, like, over 45 years, and this is the first time I've ever won anything as an actor. And I am just so humbled and so grateful,' she continued.

'30 years ago I had a producer tell me that I was a popcorn actress, and at that time I made that mean that this is not something I was allowed to have.

'That I could do movies that were successful and made a lot of money, but that I couldn't be acknowledged, and I bought in and I believed that. 

'That corroded me over time, to the point where I thought a few years ago that maybe this was it, maybe I was complete, maybe I had done what I was supposed to do.'

She was awarded for her role in True Detective: Night Country, and it marked her fifth Golden Globes win.

He won for his part in The Penguin.

'No one to thank on this one, I did it all by myself,' he joked while accepting the award.

It comes after Zoe Saldana won the award for Best Supporting Female Actor – Motion Picture thanks to her role in the flick.

She beat out host Nikki Glaser, who was also nominated.

Kylie cut a busty figure in a low-cut metallic silver dress, and wore her raven tresses cascading in bouncy loose locks.

The actor was not present at the awards show, so presenter Jennifer Coolidge accepted it on his behalf.

Jessica almost took a tumble as she hit the stage to accept her award, and she was quick to make a cheeky joke about it during her speech.

She joked that if she fell she might have exposed the audience, stating, 'I almost tripped up. You almost saw my Golden Globes there. Thank you very much.'

The host broke out into song on stage, but put her own spin on the track.

Instead of Popular, Nikki, who was dressed up as a Pope, sang the word Pope-ular.

He took home the Golden Globe for his role in the beloved show Shōgun.

He won for his part in the film A Real Pain.

She was awarded for her role in Hacks.

'Thank you all so much for supporting the show and loving the show. Love you guys, thank you,' she gushed on stage.

Zoe, who won for Emilia Perez, had tears running down her face as she accepted the honor as she took to the podium and said: 'I know I don't have much time, and I have dyslexia, so I tend to forget when I'm really anxious, and I'm filled with adrenaline, but my heart is full of gratitude.

'Thank you so much to the Golden Globes for celebrating our film, and honoring the women of Emilia Perez. Thank you so much. Oh, my god.'

The comedian began the event with an unfiltered monologue, which contained a joke about jailed rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs - and social media was not pleased with her comment.

She said: 'Since P. Diddy has been arrested the after party wont be as good this year... no baby oil.'

She also threw in digs at Timothee Chalamet, who sat with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, and the cast of the Joker sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux.

The actress, 57, showed off her very slender frame in a very revealing slinky one-shouldered glittering gown by Balenciaga.

She posed with her Wicked costar Cynthia Erivo.

He channeled his A Complete Unknown character Bob Dylan.

Kate, 49, who is nominated as Best Actress for her role in war drama Lee, was the epitome of sophistication as she graced the red carpet in a cream beaded suit.

The Wicked star completed her look with some bedazzled nails.

Earlier this week, the actress, 40, was announced as one of the stars scheduled to take the stage during tonight's show, along with Andrew Garfield, Demi Moore, Gal Gadot and Nicolas Cage.

It is highly unlikely that the Aubrey will still present or attend the Golden Globes, as news hit the web on Saturday that her husband, Jeff, had tragically died from suicide at age 47.

The White Lotus star has not publicly commented on the death of her husband.
