Diddy trial rocked by 'pedophile' claim in explosive fight over woman decades younger: Live updates

Sean 'Diddy' Combs's trial for sex trafficking and racketeering entered its fifth week on Monday in New York City - with the jury hearing secret recordings of phone calls between the mogul and one of his accusers.

The disgraced music mogul, 55, is facing life in prison if convicted of the claims that he used his fame and money to coerce women and employees into sexual and criminal activities for two decades.

His ex-girlfriend, who is testifying under the pseudonym of Jane, is back on the stand after telling the jury last week that she was forced to participate in frequent sexual performances with male sex workers to please Diddy.

During her testimony, Jane told the court she unfoundedly called Diddy a 'pedophile' after an explosive fight over another woman. The woman the mogul had been seeing was an adult, but was 'decades younger' than him, prompting Jane to shout the inaccuracy during the argument.

Diddy has pleaded not guilty. His lawyers concede he could be violent, but he denies using threats or his music industry clout to commit abuse.

This live blog has now closed.

Jane unfoundedly called Diddy a 'pedophile' after an explosive argument about another woman

During her testimony on Monday, Jane said the pair had an argument after Diddy went on a family trip in 2024.

'I was making an assumption he was with another woman. Just had really angered me. At this point in our relationship I was bottling up a lot of resentment and anger,' she said.

Although the woman she assumed Diddy was with was an adult, she called him a 'pedophile' as she felt the mogul was about '25-27 years her senior and that relationship always rubbed me the wrong way.'

The woman was younger than Jane, but over the age of 18.

'I pray for Diddy's peace'

Jane Doe said that she received a subpoena after Diddy was arrested.

The rapper was still paying her rent, and she met with Diddy's lawyers in April of this year.

When asked about how she feels about Diddy now, Jane told the trial: 'I pray for his continued healing and I pray for peace for him.'

Jane felt 'sick' as Diddy branded her a 'whore' after a freak-off

Jane Doe told court on Monday that she 'felt sick' after being in Diddy's freak-off in June 2024.

She said: 'I felt sick. I just felt even in my own body, I felt disgusted, terrible.'

Following the freak-off, Diddy became enraged at Jane.

'He said that any hope for us to ever even be in a relationship is dead and that I was a whore, a cheater, I left this house he pays for. He kept saying all those things over and over again, kept saying I was terrible.'

20:45

'He gave me this really evil stare'

On Monday, Jane told the court how Diddy saw messages on Jane's phone between her and escort Anton before a June 18th, 2024 freak off.

Anton had texted Jane that he had been spending time with 'mutual friends' - referring to an unamed rapper and his girlfriend who hosted a Vegas birthday party in early 2024, which Jane had been in attendance.

Jane testified how she had 'flirtatious banter' with the rapper the night of the party. Although she had admitted to Diddy that she didn't know what Anton was talking about, she later admitted lying in order 'not to escalate' the night.

Diddy 'gave her a really evil stare' and said the text exchange 'was not sitting right' wit him before Jane was forced to recount the party to him.

'I can’t believe what you’re telling me. Did you just cheat on me, did you just slip away from us, you have this porn star has something over me.'

'Sean pushed me into the bathroom while we were with Anton. I remember him openig his hand. Take this f****** pill, you’re not ging to ruin my f****** night,' she then told the jury.

'Get out there and suck his d***, f*** him, I don’t care, you’re not going to ruin my f****** night.

'I said I don’t want to, I don’t want to.'

Freak Offs caused Jane to suffer from back pain and UTIs

Jane wiped away tears as she recounted the many ill-effects of 'hotel nights,' including constant back pain, frequent urinary tract infections and soreness in her genitals and pelvic areas.

Combs’ former longtime girlfriend, Cassie, testified she also suffered UTIs after enduring hours of sex during sex marathons involving Combs and male sex workers.

Both women testified they were made to have sexual encounters before they were fully recovered from UTIs.

Jane and Diddy have 'freak off' together after physical fight

In June 2024 after a physical altercation where Jane ended up with 'two golfball sized welts' on her forehead and a black eye, Diddy instructed Jane shortly after to 'put on lingerie and high heels.'

Diddy invited an escort over to a participate in a freak off and told Jane 'we’re not going to end the night like this. You’re not going to ruin my night like this.'

Diddy was still having freak offs after Cassie's lawsuit as feds prepared to arrest him

Diddy kept having so-called 'freak-off' sex marathons as federal investigators were closing in on arresting him last year, alleged victim Jane testified.

Jane said she was involved in sexual encounters with male sex workers at Diddy's Miami-area estate as late as last August, just weeks before his arrest at a Manhattan hotel.

Jane estimated there were about five such encounters between February 2024 and his arrest last September. None of them were in hotels, a frequent venue for activities she dubbed 'debauchery' and 'hotel nights.'

Federal agents raided Combs’ home on ritzy Star Island, along with his home in Los Angeles, in March 2024.

Prosecutors say Diddy's hotel room had all his requirements for a freak off - drugs, baby oil and mood lighting - when he was arrested in New York City.

Jane describes being assaulted by Diddy after he publicly apologized for beating Cassie

Jane told the court that in June, 2024, just months before Diddy's arrest, they had a violent altercation after she started inquiring about his other girlfriends.

'He bent over and I pushed his head on the counter... I pushed his head into the marble. I gave it a good shot,' Jane said, admitting she was the first to hit Diddy while they were at her Los Angeles home, which he paid for.

'I started throwing candles everywhere, taking out the candles, taking all the glass and throwing it. I was angry with him. It was built up mix of everything I was angry and hated him for. I said I hate you I just kept saying I hated him. I remember a lot of wax but I don’t remember striking him with the glass directly.'

Jane said Diddy was cursing at her and she ran to the bedroom and locked the door.

She said the rapper then kicked the door down and grabbed her as she tried to run away.

'Sean kicked me from the back of my thigh and I fell down on my butt,' Jane told the court.

'He picked me up in a chokehold and choked me, on the ground, lifted me up and I couldn’t breathe and I was on my tippy toes.'

19:25

Freak off videos will not be shown to the public during the trial

The notorious 'freak off' videos at the center of Diddy's trial will not be released to the public.

Judge Arun Subramanian sided with lawyers for Combs and alleged victim Cassie Ventura, both of whom both asked that the explicit content remain private.

The videos are said to show Cassie and another woman referred to only as 'Jane' in the throes of horrendous sex acts with prostitutes they say Diddy forced on them.

They are central to the prosecution's case that Diddy abused and trafficked the women, and have long been speculated over by the public.

Court hears details of Diddy's apology video over Cassie assault video

Jane said she was in Miami with Diddy when CNN released a video of the mogul assaulting Cassie at a hotel in Los Angeles in 2016.

'We were sleeping and one of his sons knocked on the door and said something happened,' Jane told the jury.

'I went downstairs and I could see everybody was speaking amongst each other. I sat down. I went on my phone and then I saw the video.... I saw Sean assaulting Cassie in a hotel.'

Jane said she ws about to her breakfast but lost her appetite after seeing the footage.

'It was a very eerie day. I remember that Sean was huddled with his team and his family. I was primarily just alone during that day, giving everybody space,' she recalled.

Jane said Diddy's team spent the day 'trying to come up some sort of sincere apology post or something regarding the video.'

'He said that that was the only time they had physical violence like that,' Jane said of what Diddy told her about the violent incident.

'He said [Cassie] was a hitter and she would hit.'

Jane is emotional but composed on Monday

As in her previous two days on the stand last week, Jane became emotional and cried briefly on Monday, but was mostly composed as she discussed her experiences with a man she said she loved.

She acknowledged that she had reviewed some of the sex sessions with prosecutors prior to beginning testimony last Thursday. Comey asked her what she saw on them.

'I saw me,' she responded, before adding: 'following a pattern.'

She added that with the 'majority of these tapes it was like the same show over and over again.'

Jane reconnected with Diddy after Cassie's lawsuit... and had another freak off

Jane said that she reconnected with Diddy in February of 2024 after the mogul texted her that he had a dream about her.

'I missed him dearly,' she replied when asked why she agreed to see Diddy again after the freak off claims became public.

After Diddy agreed to a 'wholesome' beautiful celebration,' Jane agreed to see him for her birthday oin Miami.

Jane said when she arrived at Diddy's Miami mansion, he greeted her with the 'proper birthday dinner she always wanted.'

But the next morning, after they had done ecstasy, Diddy asked her if she wanted to see one of the male escorts.

'I was just high and I was like OK,' she told the court of her response.

She added: 'At this point I’m so used to this being the outcome of whatever we’re doing I just accept it.'

Diddy 'threatened to release Jane's sex tapes'

Echoing Cassie Ventura's testimony, Jane told the court that Diddy threatened her with releasing tapes of the freak offs.

On December 28, 2023, she texted Diddy: 'You called me to ‘charge you’ and even said lawyers would be involved. When I did what you asked you spew out all your evil on me. You threatened releasing my tapes and threatened to post them. You are psychotic.'

Jane told the court: 'At the height of his anger he said, "I’m just gonna show your child’s father these tapes. I have nothing to lose."'

Jane then contacted Diddy's right hand woman Kristina Khorram, writing: 'Hey…he just threatened me about my sex tapes. He has been bothering me for two months. We broke up two weeks before the controversy.

'When s**t hit the fan I’d already entered into my own depression... I’m traumatized... he keeps bothering me, invites me to fly out…today he went from asking me who I’m seeing and saying he’s abandoned. When I reiterate all the trauma he says I’m blackmailing him.'

Jane said Khorram then called her.

'She was like, "Ok I understand don’t worry, nothing's going to happen with these tapes... He’s not going to do anything like that. Why don’t you guys give each other space."'

18:18

Jane told Diddy she wanted to end her life over 'freak offs' trauma, jury hears

The court saw text communications between Diddy and Jane in the aftermath of Cassie's lawsuit filing where Jane expressed anguish over her participation in the freak offs.

Jane said Diddy told her to 'charge him' money for the trauma inflicted, but that the mogul became enraged when she gave him a number.

'You’re a liar. F**k you. I’m blocking you. Opportunist. I’m calling the police,' Diddy texted her.

'I’m gonna kill myself. You used me and broke me,' Jane replied, adding that she 'hated' her life and 'wanted to die.'

'I wanted everything to go black,' she told the court as she cried on Monday.

Diddy replied: 'Breathe, goodbye.'

18:02

Diddy told Jane to 'charge him money for the trauma he inflicted'

Jane told the court that after Cassie filed her lawsuit against Diddy, she began telling him about the trauma she says she endured during the freak offs, or hotel nights, as she calls them.

'He was saying, "charge me for your resentment, I need you to get over this, I don’t want any loose ends,"' Jane said of what Diddy allegedly told her.

'He wanted me to come up with some sort of number to make peace with our situation,' Jane added.

Jane eventually texted him: 'I want my wasted three years reimbursed in the amount of $100k per year. $450k to move on from resentment and loss of potential income.'

But, Jane said, despite his initial offer, Diddy then accused her of blackmailing him and even threatened to call the police on her.

Court is back from lunch break

Prosecutor Maurene Comey has resumed her questioning of Jane.

She is inquiring about Jane's relationship with the mogul during the months after Cassie filed the lawsuit against Diddy.

Diddy told Jane 'I need your friendship' after Cassie filed suit against him over freak offs

Jane told the jury on Monday that Diddy called her three days after Cassie filed a lawsuit accusing him of sexual and physical abuse over the freak offs.

'Hello. I need your friendship right now,' Diddy said in the call, which was played for the court.

'Please don’t send no text, I need your friendship right now,' he added. 'I need you.'

Diddy then told Jane she did not 'have to worry about nothing else.'

When asked what he meant, Jane told the court Diddy was talking about her rent payments.

17:12

Jane's texts could help prosecution's case

Jane, one of Diddy's former girlfriends, testified on Monday in the hip-hop mogul's sex trafficking trial that she told him in text messages that she felt mistreated in their relationship and asked to stop taking part in sexual performances with other men.

'I'm not a porn star. I'm not an animal,' she wrote to Combs on October 16, 2023, according to a text message she read aloud in court. 'It's loveless for me and nothing satisfies you and you always push me to do more and more.'

The messages could bolster prosecutors' contention that Combs, 55, for two decades coerced women to take part in the sexual performances, sometimes known as 'Freak Offs,' against their will.

Combs is charged with using physical force and threatening to cut off financial support to get women to take part in the drug-fueled, sometimes days-long performances in hotel rooms while he watched.

Court breaks for lunch

Prosecutors will continue questioning Diddy's alleged victim Jane after a short luch break.

Diddy told Jane, 'you know me,' after Cassie filed her lawsuit, recorded call reveals to jury

Prosecutors introduced a recording of a phone call between Diddy and his ex-girlfriend Jane that took place after Cassie Ventura filed the lawsuit that started the mogul's downfall.

Jane was heard sobbing as Diddy told her: 'sorry you feel this way. [I'll] make you feel better baby.'

He referred to the freak offs as 'kinky s**t I thought we both enjoyed.'

Diddy mentioned he was 'not even supposed to be talking on the phone.'

'What we did we did mutually together. I’m trying to be there for you,' he told Jane.

It appears Diddy recorded the calls without Jane's knowledge.

Jane's reaction to Cassie's lawsuit revealed

Jane told the court about her reaction when she learned that Cassie Ventura had filed a lawsuit against Diddy in 2023.

'I almost fainted. In fact I think I did,' she said on Monday. 'Because there were three specific pages that was just what I was experiencing.

'I remember these pages resembled my own experience... I was bewildered, I was in shock.'

She said she could not sleep for days after reading the lawsuit.

'I was reading these pages and they felt like a nightmare. I felt so bad. I just had a lot of sympathy for this because I could feel....

'I just reacted like I can’t believe I’m reading my own story.'

15:49

'I'm not Gina or Cassie'

In one text message from 2023, as she expresed frustration over her relationship with Diddy, Jane wrote: 'I'm not Gina or Cassie.'

Jane said she sent the message after a phone conversation where Diddy threatened to stop paying the rent on her home.

She told the court she was basically trying to tell Diddy: 'Don't play with me.'

When asked why she brought up Diddy ex girlfriends, Jane replied: 'I felt these two women had quietly left that relationship and in the heat of the moment I’m telling him I feel really violated and have been pushed to the edge and I don’t know what I meant but I’m standing up for myself.'

Jane felt 'obligated' to participate in Freak Offs

Jane said she felt obliged to continue the Freak Offs because Diddy was paying the $10,000 a month rent on her Los Angeles home.

He began paying the rent in April 2023 and also paid tens of thousands of dollars on furniture, Jane has testified.

In September of that year, Jane wrote to Diddy: ‘I don’t want to feel obligated to perform these nights in fear of losing the roof over my head’.

Asked in court to explain what she meant, Jane said: ‘Feelings I started to develop regarding Sean and this house. and little things he’d saying, guilty trippy things about the house, me feeling like I had to perform.

‘He had made such a big purchase and I felt this was something I had to do in return to make him feel OK about that’.

Diddy would ‘sprinkle in’ things that made her aware of this, she told the jury.

Alleged victim Jane told court on Friday she carried drugs for Diddy twice

Jane told the court on Friday how she nervously smuggled pills in her checked luggage on commercial flights from Los Angeles to Miami for Diddy.

Jane said both times the mogul asked her to 'pick up a package' at his Los Angeles mansion and bring it with her when she visited him at his Miami estate.

Jane testified that she wasn’t comfortable with the request, but Diddy's chief of staff Kristina 'K.K.' Khorram told her: 'It’s fine, I do it all the time.'

'Diddy told Jane to have sex with a third escort after she vomited during hotel night'

Jane broke into sobs talking about how she 'just really wanted my partner to get sober' when she tried to do a 'hotel night' without drugs in October 2023.

Jane told the jury she ended up vomiting after she had sex with two males escorts on that occasion.

'Sean came in and I told him I’d just thrown up he was like, "that’s good then you’ll feel better now you’ve thrown up so let’s go because a guy is here," the third guy.'

Jane said she then had sex with a third male escort.

In the case of a guilty verdict, Diddy may have to use his ties with Washington, DC elite for help obtaining a pardon - which his 'good friend' Donald Trump has said he would consider.

Although Diddy has often endorsed Democrats throughout the years, including Joe Biden in 2020, he has been photographed with members across the political spectrum.

Jane says Diddy 'love-bombed' her to get his way

In an October, 2023, text, Jane wrote to Diddy: 'you're going to spend the day love bombing me so you can get what you want. It’s not genuine.'

Diddy had been trying to convince her to spend time with him, telling her they did not 'have to have sex.'

Jane told the court Diddy 'showers [her] with affection, adoration, really persistent... it’s very overwhelming me having deep feelings for me it was something I wanted so I came around.'

She explained: 'I would say whenever he wanted one of these nights the love bombing and persistency would start.'

14:53

Diddy still paying Jane's rent, she tells the court

Jane said last week that Diddy has been paying her rent since she moved into the home in April 2023, despite their breakup and his arrest last September.

The monetary allowance was reportedly part of the former couple's 'love contract.'

In an August 2023 text message, he wrote: 'Look at the roof over your head and that pretty smile,' referencing the rent arrangement and some dental work he paid for her.

Jane said Diddy also paid for her to get veneers, because he did not like her teeth.

How Diddy counted out $100k from a brown paper bag to buy Cassie beating video

A security guard told how Sean 'Diddy' Combs counted out $100,000 from a brown paper bag to buy the only copy of a video showing him beating up his ex-girlfriend on Tuesday.

Eddy Garcia, who worked at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles, told in vivid detail how the hip hop mogul used a counting machine to add up the money for the bribe in 2016.

Garcia said that Diddy called him 'Eddy, my angel' for deleting it from the servers and giving it to him on a USB stick.

14:35

Jane told Diddy: 'I’m not a porn star. I’m not an animal'

On Monday the court saw multiple messages where Jane pleaded with Diddy, saying she was tired of having sex with male escorts to entertain the mogul.

'I dont’ feel like performing loveless cold sex,' Jane wrote in October 2023.

'I’m not a porn star. I’m not an animal. I need a break…I’ve hit a wall.'

She added: 'It's been three years of me having to f**k strangers. I’m tired.'

Diddy replied: 'So we’re breaking up?'

Jane told the jury she did not want to break up and just wanted to stop having sex with male escorts.

'My spirit and my soul is tired. I need a break spiritually and mentally,' Jane wrote to Diddy.

'Sex is sacred to me and I can’t be used like this anymore….I wanted to make you happy but it’s creating a war inside me….hotel rooms…exhausting sex for days….brain fog and can’t concentrate.'

Lawyer asks judge to crack down on people trying to reveal Jane’s identity on Friday

Jane’s lawyer Lindsay Lewis spoke up during a break in testimony on Friday while the jury was out of the courtroom. She said some media outlets and social media accounts have or are attempting to reveal Jane’s identity.

Judge Arun Subramanian didn’t immediately act on Lewis’ request. He asked her to send him any examples of concerning posts.

Subramanian noted that there’s little he can do about members of the public doing their own sleuthing to figure out Jane’s identity based on what she’s said on the witness stand.

The judge previously warned reporters and members of the public observing the trial not to describe Jane in detail. He’s also told sketch artists not to draw her face.

My brother was an early Diddy 'victim'... the warning signs were there from the start

Dirk Swain was on his first night out after escaping what should have been certain death.

The 20-year-old had just recovered from being shot in the head after a college football game - and finally felt ready to embrace his second chance at life.

But as he stood on the stairs of a New York gymnasium waiting to enter a celebrity charity event thrown by a relatively unknown 22-year-old music producer called Sean 'Diddy' Combs, the expectant atmosphere began to change.

Minutes later, Dirk took his final breaths.

Jane says Diddy would promise her nice dates that would turn into 'hotel nights'

Diddy's ex-girlfriend told the court about several instances where the mogul offered her a trip or romantic date and instead guilt tripped her into having sex with male escorts for his entertainment.

On Monday the jury saw messages from September, 2023, where Diddy tells Jane: 'let’s have a good time. Do you have your passport. We’re going to dinner, have you do a little shopping.'

But when her flight took off for NYC to meet with Diddy, Jane said she 'received a message from Sean that made me a little upset.'

In the message, Diddy was asking her about one of their go-to male escorts.

'He was wanting a hotel night,' Jane said.

'I remember taking a deep breath and feeling a little upset and disappointed, a little defeated.'

Witness Jane tells Diddy that freak offs disgust her in text read in court

The court read a text that Jane sent to Diddy in September 2023 where she opened up about not wanting to engage in freak offs.

The text read: 'I wish we could chalk this back to when we first started dating...

'Ever since I opened Pandora's Box….one night of fun (became) all I’m expected to do.

'It’s hurting me because I’m so much more….doing things that make me disgusted with myself... my heart is breaking...

'I don’t want to play this role in your life any more... It’s dark, sleazy and makes me feel disgusted with myself.

'I feel it’s the only reason you have me around... I don’t want to feel obligated to do these nights in fear of losing the roof over my head.'

Internet trolls have tried to connect some of America's biggest names - from Barack Obama and Kamala Harris to Beyoncé and Jay-Z - to Diddy's alleged misconduct.

Prince and Kim Porter were brought into the discourse posthumously with theorists alleging both detailed Diddy's alleged exploits before their deaths.

Others even went as far as baselessly claiming Los Angeles' deadly Palisades Fire was set in an attempt to burn evidence that would be essential to Diddy's trial.

Prosecutors asked the judge to turn the livestream in the overflow room when alleged victim Jane is on the stand.

They said they want to avoid a situation where nonredacted information is shown to those in the overflow and press rooms.

13:28

Jane is back on the stand

Jane has begun her testimony for the prosecution on Monday.

She is being asked to read text message conversations with Diddy.

Last week the court saw messages where she called the mogul a 'pathological liar' and said, 'I can’t get this image of you lying to my face out of my mind' after he went from celebrating her birthday to taking another woman on a trip to the Caribbean.

Jane told Diddy that, by dating him, she had deprived herself of romance, love, travel and meaningful connections.

'This is about you finally treating me as a human being,' she wrote. Jane said Combs told her he’d make it up to her by taking her to Turks and Caicos.

Jane desperately wanted alone time with Combs, she said, but before they left, he made her engage in yet another 'hotel night.'

When they got to the archipelago, Jane said she was happy at first, but then Combs brought in a male sex worker for yet more encounters.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs tells courtroom artist he looks like a 'koala' in sketches

On Thursday, the gray-bearded hip-hop mogul turned to face courtroom sketch artist Jane Rosenberg in the first row to make an unusual request.

'Soften me up a bit, you're making me look like a koala bear,' Combs said, according to Rosenberg.

Rosenberg, a well-known sketch artist, has been documenting the proceedings for Reuters in Manhattan federal court, where photography and video recording are prohibited.

Diddy is not the first high-profile defendant to remark on Rosenberg's depictions of them.

Earlier this year, Rudy Giuliani told Rosenberg she had made him look like his dog.

And in 2023, Donald Trump Jr. had a blunt request for Rosenberg during a civil fraud trial over his family's real estate business: 'Make me look sexy.'

Dr Phil reveals stunning prosecution error and hidden 'poison' that everyone has missed

Just four weeks into the trial of Sean 'Diddy' Combs and I want to prepare you for the possibility that these proceedings could come to a sudden, screeching halt.

I spent most of my professional career around courtrooms as a consultant for trial attorneys, instructing them, not on the legal aspects of cases, but on the human elements, specifically how jurors responded to their arguments.

At this moment in the Combs trial – with the prosecution expected to wrap up its arguments in the coming days – I question whether the jury has been presented with enough evidence to reasonably expect them to find a legal basis to convict.

And for that reason, I predict the judge may be tempted to essentially throw the case out of court.

Judge to rule on Diddy's second mistrial motion

On Saturday, Diddy's legal team filed a letter requesting the trial be dismissed following a testimony from Combs' ex-girlfriend Cassie's friend and fashion designer, Bryana Bongolan.

Combs' lawyers have argued that the prosecution knowingly allowed the false testimony to be given because they had seen receipts showing the mogul was in the east coast at the time.

On Monday, judge Subramanian said he will wait for the prosecution to answer to the defense's motion, and he will have an answer on Tuesday.

LISTEN: Diddy berates ex after she declines 'freak off,' tells her to 'get on her job'

Prosecutors played an audio note from 2023 where Diddy tells Jane to 'get on her job' after she said she was not available for a freak off.

'I’m about to really disappear on you, you feel me?' the annoyed mogul said on the voice note, adding that Jane had a 'rude awakening' coming to her.

'You better get on your job, that’s all it is,' he said. 'Because you got me on my job.'

Jane said she understood her job to be keeping Diddy happy, which included having sex with male escorts as the mogul watched.

Diddy's 'job,' meanwhile was providing financial support for Jane by providing her $10,000 a month.
